Course Information
The course consists of well-balanced theory and practical training aimed to provide our learners a fundamental understanding of the various security components and systems such as the CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarm that are integrated in a typical Security Command and Control Centre set-up. With the completion of the course, learners will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to obtain and record surveillance information accurately using appropriate surveillance equipment, in accordance with current relevant legal and organisational requirements.
Learners will also possess the knowledge and abilities required to perform remote access surveillance functions using security programmes and equipment in a Security Command and Control Centre.

Learning Outcomes
- Carry out basic troubleshooting and report surveillance equipment faults to supervisors
- Operate surveillance systems to identify areas of activities that may be of high risk to abnormal behaviours
- Operate remote surveillance equipment in accordance to organisation operating procedures
- Analyse behaviours /situations to detect security incidents
- Report abnormal behaviours remotely using surveillance systems
- Report details of situations to appropriate authorities using surveillance systems
- Escalate situations to enforcement teams to carry out appropriate actions
- Complete relevant documentation relating to remote surveillance operations
Mode of Learning
Primary mode of learning for this course is Face-to-Face Classroom session. This will be supplemented with interactive Practical sessions which serves to connect newly-learned knowledge and skills with the realities of the workplace and jobs.
