Course Information
The course has been developed to enable learners to have the opportunity to develop an understanding of the principles of structured cabling system. Learners will review the elements of structured cabling systems and understand how a structured cabling system is designed. They will explore the components of data communication networks and understand the use of those when designing structured cabling systems. Learner will develop an understanding of the use of cabling and fibre optic communication systems in data transmission.
Learners will review techniques used when installing cabling and understand configuration when designing structured cabling systems. They will also understand the use of optical modulation when designing fibre optic networks and safety measures when handling fibre optic cable.

Learning Outcomes

Mode of Learning
Primary mode of learning for this course is Face-to-Face Classroom session. This will be supplemented with interactive Practical sessions which serves to connect newly-learned knowledge and skills with the realities of the workplace and jobs.
